New Mexico ( Roswell)

The first time Kit and Genene lived in Roswell was in 1991 after they left Central Oregon. They were there for a couple of years, and left to pursue better opportunities in Albuquerque. It was quite a climate and cultural change for Genene who had spent the majority of her life in the northwest. It's an interesting town, with a rich Hispanic culture. Although it's not a large town, there is quite a high crime rate per capita. The SECOND time Kit and Genene moved to Roswell was in the fall of 1998. Kit accepted a position with the very same radio station he worked at before, FX100, for the same owner who to this day remains a friend. In the eight years of their absence, the town had undergone an amazing period of growth and change... with one exception...it's still HOT, HOT, HOT! What a climate adjustment they'll have to make when they relocate back up north to Spokane!

Albuquerque was a great move for Kit and Genene. They moved there in spring, and Kit was hired by Lazer 98.5 where he was the Morning Personality and soon became the Program Director. The radio station's ratings soared, and Genene was on the air with him in the mornings as the news chick "Genie West". It was a really fun time, they loved the owners of the station and would probably still be there to this day had the station not been sold. It was heartbreaking to everyone when the station sold, especially after putting so much work and soul into their jobs and seeing such fantastic positive results. But life goes on...and so did their journey...this time to Fayetteville, Arkansas.
